Plane:

Marseille-Provence airport is well connected with the biggest airports in Europe. There are regular shuttles from the airport to Vitrolles train station, then the travel time to Avignon takes about 30 minutes.

Lyon airport is also recommended, with a direct fast train (TGV) to Avignon.

Train : Eurostar and fast train lines from Lyon, Paris, Marseille all reach Avignon directly.

Avignon has a fast train (TGV) station with regular shuttles to the city centre.
